Solid light green skin with white to pale yellow flesh

Light smell of leaves or foliage
TEXTURE
Quite firm with light juice
TASTE
Mild sweetness, bit of a tart flavor — reminiscent of a dry mellow granny smith
OVERALL
This was a mediocre apple with ok tart flavor but not enough juice or spunk for me. Plus I had to chew and chew on this one. Good if you want to impress your friends with your obscure knowledge of apples (which I do) but other than that, I’d pass on this one.

NOTES
This apple was purchased a little later in the season than is preferred for the Ein Shemer, but I did buy it right from the farmer. Nonetheless, I may try it again next year even though I wasn’t particularly impressed this time around.
