OVERALL

The best word to describe this apple is perky. It is a lovely little apple that is perfect for snacking. Nothing is wanting here. It has an ideal balance of sweet and tart. I suppose it could be the slightest bit juicier but I’m happy to avoid having to wipe my mouth after every bite (um, yes I might be a messy eater but that is NOT the point here). If you see this apple, you should buy it.

NOTES
When I bought this apple, I carried it up to the counter, paid my money and asked to borrow a black marker to write the name of the apple on the bag. “Blushing Golden” the slightly older gentleman said. “Blushing Gold!!!” a woman behind him corrected. “I planted the thing!” he piped back. “Yes, you planted it and I kept track of what it was. Blushing Gold.” she said warmly looking at me, but clearly flirting with the man next to her. “Fine.” he conceded.
